Week 8: Sunday and Monday Night Football

October 29th, 2011 No comments

The two biggest games of every week are typically played on Sunday Night Football and Monday Night Football. This week sees two games that will go a long way in playing out the races in two divisions. The NFC East has a game on Sunday Night, while the AFC West takes the center stage on Monday Night Football. Let’s take a look at our bets for those two games:

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles -3

These two legendary NFL teams will get together in the city of brotherly love. These two teams have been going against each other in rough and tough games for many years. The Cowboys are 3-3 on the season, while the Eagles are 2-4. This is the first of three straight home games for the Eagles, so they hope to get off to a quick start. The Cowboys offense, led by Tony Romo will look to keep the momentum from the thrashing of the Rams last week. Philadelphia is coming off their bye week, after picking up the win over Washington. Look for Michael Vick to do his best to work on ball control this week. In this game, we are going to be Vick and the Eagles to win this game by nearly a touchdown, and definitely cover the spread. Take Philadelphia -3.

San Diego Chargers +3 over Kansas City Chiefs

The San Diego Chargers are loading a bunched up AFC West. The Chargers are just 1/2 game over the Raiders, and a full game ahead of the Chiefs. The Chargers are coming off a loss to the Jets. The other loss for San Diego came to New England earlier in the season. San Diego will hope for a better game from Phillip Rivers, who had trouble finding his receivers late in last weeks loss. The Chiefs, after getting off to an 0-3 start have won three straight games. Kansas City has withstood numerous injuries, and are hoping to win back to back divisional titles. We feel San Diego is just much more talented than the Chiefs. In this game, we are going to bet the San Diego Chargers -3 over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Best of luck with all your Sunday and Monday Night Football betting. These two games should be great, we hope we gave you some good insight on the games.

NFL Week 8 Betting

October 27th, 2011 No comments

It’s time to give you all some of our best bets for week 8 of the National Football League. There are some tremendous games on the schedule for week 8. Here are oure bets:

New Orleans Saints +13.5 over St. Louis Rams

The New Orleans Saints are coming off their monstrous win over Indianapolis last week. The Saints are 5-2 on the season, and are taking on a team that has yet to win this season. St. Louis cannot seem to get any offense going on the season. We look for that to continue, and the Saints to continue pouring points on. We are betting the New Orleans Saints +13.5 over the St. Louis Rams.

Detroit Lions -3 over Denver Broncos

Matthew Stafford and Calvin Johnson, along with the rest of the Detroit Lions will take on Tim Tebow and the Denver Broncos. The Lions are 5-2 on the season, and need a win to stay in the mix for the divisional lead. Denver is coming off a big win over Miami, led by a late rally from Tebow. We look for Detroit’s defense to come after Tebow hard, and come away with a win. We are betting the Detroit Lions -3 over the Denver Broncos.

Cleveland Browns +9 over San Francisco 49ers

Cleveland has not been very good, but they are going to be just good enough to cover this spread. The 49ers are going to win this game, and move to an impressive 6-1, but not by double digits. We expect San Francisco to win this game by a touchdown. Bet the Browns +9 in this one.

New England Patriots -3 over Pittsburgh Steelers

Two of the top teams in the AFC will get together at Heinz Field. The New England Patriots have just one loss on the season; coming to Buffalo. Pittsburgh is back in first place, with two losses on the season. We look for Brady and the Patriots to get their offense going against the Pittsburgh defense. We are betting the Patriots to beat the Steelers by more than a field goal in this game. Take New England -3.

Dallas Cowboys @ Philadelphia Eagles -3.5

Two teams out of the NFC East will get together in the city of brotherly love. The Dallas Cowboys will take on the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia is coming off their bye, while the Cowboys are coming off a win over the Rams. In this one, we think Michael Vick will have a big game, and come away with a win. Take the Philadelphia Eagles -3.5 over the Dallas Cowboys.

Best of luck with all your Week 8 National Football League betting. We certainly feel like we have given you some great games to bet. Take a few of our bets, and best of luck with your betting this week. We cannot wait to come back next week and get some more wins!

NFL Week 7 Betting

October 21st, 2011 No comments

The Green Bay Packers are the only unbeaten team left in the National Football League. The Colts, Jaguars and Rams have yet to win a game. Will week 7 be the week that these things come to an end? Those are just a few of the many questions that come up when looking at the week 7 schedule. Here we go with a few of our favorite bets for week 7!

Seattle Seahawks @ Cleveland Browns -3

Two teams that are 2-3 will get together in Cleveland. Seattle is in second place in the NFC West, while the Browns are alone in last place in the NFC North. The Seahawks are coming off their win over the Giants, followed by their bye week. Look for Seattle to struggle on the offensive side, as they have done all season long. The Browns run game will get going, and the home team will prevail in this one. We are betting Cleveland -3 over Seattle.

Denver Broncos +1 @ Miami Dolphins

Tim Tebow is making his first NFL start as the quarterback. The Miami Dolphins are terrible, and keep getting worse. We will actually make the bet that Tony Sparano gets fired following this game. Miami has nothing going well for them, except Andrew Luck may be their quarterback next season. Look for Tebow to have a big game, and Denver comes away with a win on the road. Bet the Broncos +1 over the Dolphins.

Chicago Bears -1 @ Tampa Bay Buccaneers

This game is going to be played in London, so there is no home field advantage here. The Bears need a win to get to 4-3. That would put them back in contention within the NFC. Tampa Bay is tied with the Saints at the top of their division. Look for Matt Forte to have a big game for the Bears, and Tampa Bay to struggle to defend them. In the end, Chicago comes away with the win overseas. Bet the Bears -1.

Pittsburgh Steelers -3.5 @ Arizona Cardinals

This game is going to be a blow-out. The Steelers have won two straight games, both over teams much like Arizona. Look for Big Ben to have a huge game, with Mike Wallace being his top target. Arizona is having a tough time on offense, and that will continue in this one. We are betting Pittsburgh -3.5 over Arizona.

Indianapolis Colts @ New Orleans Saints -13.5

Our final game of the night would have been a great one last season. Peyton Manning could have went against Drew Brees. Instead, no Manning, and a horrible Colts team. Look for New Orleans to do whatever they want with Indianapolis in this game. It’s a big spread, but the Saints will cover it. Bet New Orleans -13.5 over Indianapolis with confidence here!

Best of luck with all your sports betting. We love this week in football, and feel we are going to get some money. Bet at your own risk, and good luck!

NFL Week 6: Monday Night Football Betting

October 15th, 2011 No comments

The Monday Night Football game for thweek six of the National Football League features the Miami Dolphins heading to New York to battle against the Jets. Both teams are coming into this game in need of a win. The Jets and Dolphins both play in the AFC East, where they are trailing the Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots. Here is our pick and prediction for the Monday Night Football game:

The line for this game is Miami +7 at New York. Tony Sparano’s Miami Dolphins are coming off their bye week, and have yet to win a game all season. The Jets, led by Rex Ryan, are 2-3, with three straight road losses. The Jets are glad to be home in this game.  The Dolphins will try to get their offense going, as they have scored just 69 points in 4 games. The Dolphins on the defensive side have had a horrible time slowing down opponents offenses. Miami is allowing over 300 yards per game via the pass; for 31st in the league. Rex Ryan and the Jets will look to take advantage of that, and pass the ball down field. Mark Sanchez, the former USC quarterback has had his ups and downs, but certainly been much better at home. The Jets also want to get the run game going. New York ranks second to last in rushing yards with just 76.2 per game.

Look for the keys in this game to first of all be the Jets defense. The once scary, vaunted New York defense has not been very effective this season. For Miami, they must be able to control the Jets passing game, but also take care of the ball on the offensive side. The New York Jets will win this game, but the winless Miami Dolphins will cover the spread. We are betting the Miami Dolphins +7 over the New York Jets in this game.

Best of luck with all your National Football League betting. We hope that you enjoy the week of action on the field. Check back with us next week, so we can give you some more picks for week 7 of the NFL season.

Week 6 NFL Betting

October 13th, 2011 No comments

On Sunday, week six of the National Football League season will take place. The first five weeks have been exciting, and we expect this week to be much of the game. There are two teams left that have yet to lose in 2011, and three more that have not won a game all season. We have looked at all the games for week six and come up with our best Week 6 NFL Bets:

Carolina Panthers @ Atlanta Falcons -4

This game features two NFC South teams. The Panthers have been competitive, but have recorded just one win on the season. Carolina loves their offense with rookie quarterback Cam Newton, and emerging once again wide receiver Steve Smith. The Falcons are 2-3, and are in need of a win. Atlanta is the defending NFC South champions. The Falcons have struggled getting the offense going. Last week, Atlanta scored 14 early points, and then were outscored 25-0 by the Packers. We think Atlanta gets going in this one. We are betting the Atlanta Falcons -4 over Carolina Panthers.

Philadelphia Eagles +1 @ Washington Redskins

NFC East rivals will get together in the nation’s capital. This game features the last place team against the first place team. At the beginning of the season, experts had the Eagles first and the Redskins last, but it is turned around. Philadelphia needs a win in a bad way, as they are 1-4 to start the season. Washington is 3-1 coming off their bye week. We look for the Eagles to get themselves going much more effectively this week, and taking care of the football. We are betting Philadelphia +1 over Washington.

Houston Texans +9 @ Baltimore Ravens

The Houston Texans come to Baltimore in a battle of 3 win teams. Houston is 3-2, coming off their loss to Oakland, while Baltimore is 3-1. The Ravens are in the lead in the AFC North, ahead of Cincinnati and Pittsburgh. Houston is without Andre Johnson, but look for Arian Foster and company to pick up the slack. Houston is the underdog, and we feel that is a very good role for them. While Baltimore wins this game, the Houston Texans come away with a cover in this game. Bet the Houston Texans +9.

Minnesota Vikings @ Chicago Bears – 3

Two NFC North teams will get together at Soldier Field. Both teams are looking up to both Green Bay and Detroit. The Vikings are coming off their first win of the season; beating the Arizona Cardinals. The Bears, after winning the division last season have won just two of five games to start the season. The Bears are coming off a loss to Detroit on Monday Night. Our pick for this game – the Chicago Bears defense steps up and forces Minnesota to turn the ball over. Bears win this game and cover the field goal spread.

Best of luck with all your National Football League betting. It should be a fun weekend of football, and we hope we bring you some winners for the week. Check back later for the Monday Night Football game!

Monday Night Football – Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

October 8th, 2011 No comments

It’s week five of the National Football League season. The first four weeks have seen excellent entertainment, and the Monday Night games have been nothing short of exciting. The Monday Night game for week five will be played on October 10th, 2011. The game will feature a pair of NFC North rivals, both looking to keep up with the defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers. The Chicago Bears will go to Detroit to take on the Lions. Here is our pick and prediction for the Monday Night Football game.

Chicago Bears +6 over Detroit Lions

Depending on where you are betting on, will depend on what line you can get. We’ve seen this line anywhere from +5 – +6.  The road team, Chicago Bears are 2-2 on the season, despite being the defending NFC North champions from a season ago. Detroit comes into the game with a perfect record. They are looking to stay tied with Green Bay atop the division. This game has the tendency to be a knock down, drag out game. Chicago’s offense has struggled, and is going up against a real good defense in Detroit. The Lions on the other hand have a very explosive offense. Detroit has trailed in three of their four wins, only to mount a late comeback. In this game, we expect Chicago to play very well, and take care of the football. We are going to bet the underdog, Chicago Bears +6 to not only cover the spread in this game, but also win the game outright. Our bet – Chicago Bears +6 over Detroit Lions.

Best of luck with all your NFL betting this week. We expect to see some great plays, and hope to win some big money. We cannot wait to see you the middle of next week for some picks for week six!

NFL Week 5 Bets

October 7th, 2011 No comments

Wow, 1/4th of the way through the NFL season. We have seen four great weeks of football, and now are preparing for week five of the season. There are just two unbeaten teams left, with three teams yet to win a game. Week five brings some decent games, and also some games that will tell alot about the landscape of the league. Let’s take a look at a few of the best bets for week five of the National Football League season.

Seattle Seahawks @ New York Giants -9.5

Our first game features the home team, New York Giants and a nearly double digit spread. We feel the Giants are playing some of the best football in all of the league right now. Tom Coughlin seems to have his offense going, so we are picking the New York Giants in a big way over Seattle. The Seahawks are a poor offensive team, so look for the Giants defense to take full advantage of them. Bet the Giants -9.5 over the Seahawks.

New Orleans Saints -6.5 @ Carolina Panthers

In a battle of NFC South teams, look for the Saints to blow out the Panthers. Sure, Cam Newton has been good, but expect the Saints defense to come after him early and often. The Saints offense is dynamic, which will be way too much for the Panthers. We are betting the Saints to beat the Panthers and cover the 6.5 spread. Take New Orleans on Sunday.

Philadelphia Eagles -2 @ Buffalo Bills

The Philadelphia Eagles need a win in a big way. The Eagles have lost three in a row and are in danger of getting buried in the NFC East. Buffalo is frustrated after their week four loss to Cincinnati. In this game, Philadelphia is a very small favorite. We are betting the Eagles to win this game, and cover the 2 point spread over the Buffalo. Take Philadelphia in this one.

New York Jets @ New England Patriots -9.5

The big game in the AFC East features the Jets and Patriots. The Jets are struggling, with two straight losses. The Patriots are really good when playing at home in Foxboro. Look for the Patriots offense to take full advantage of a struggling Jets defense. We are betting the Patriots to beat, and cover the spread of nearly double digits.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers +2.5 @ San Francisco 49ers

The final game of the weekend we like is the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the road. Sure, San Francisco is 3-1, but we are not believers yet. Tampa Bay just seems to find ways to compete, and then win. Look for Josh Freeman to have a big game, and the Buccaneers come up with a huge win on the road. We are betting the Buccaneers over the 49ers.

Best of luck with all your National Football League bets. We are excited about our picks for this week. Be sure you check back later in the week to find out our pick for the big NFC North game between Chicago and Detroit on Monday Night Football.

NFL Week 4 Best Bets

September 29th, 2011 No comments

Three weeks are through and the National Football League can still yet to be figured out. It’s time to discuss some of our best games for week four of the season. There are a ton of good games, we are going to talk about a few, including some of the best NFL online sports betting info heading into Week 4:

New Orleans Saints +6.5 @ Jacksonville Jaguars

The Saints are 2-1 on the season, and have won two straight games. Jacksonville is just the opposite, with a week one win, and two straight losses since then. New Orleans is one of the top offensive teams in the league, while Jacksonville has had a tough time scoring. New Orleans is poised to come into Jacksonville and blow the Jaguars out. New Orleans is a 6.5 point favorite; and we are betting them to win by double digits in this game.

Tennessee Titans +1 @ Cleveland Browns

The Titans and Browns are both 2-1 on the season. Both teams have also won two straight games, since losing their season opener. Look for Chris Johnson to finally get going in this one, and the Titans to come away with a win. The Browns have been sneaking by; something they will not get done on Sunday. The Titans are a single point underdog, we like them as our bet for week four.

New York Giants -1 @ Arizona Cardinals

The New York Giants are coming off an impressive win over the Philadelphia Eagles in week three. The Giants have looked much better the last two weeks, after laying an egg in week one. Tom Coughlin has done a nice job, aiding Eli Manning and the rag tag offense this season. The Giants are a one point underdog on the road, and we are betting them for sure.

Miami Dolphins @ San Diego Chargers -7

The Dolphins have looked awful in the first three games of the season. Miami is the lone team out of the AFC East without a win. San Diego is 2-1 after beating the Chiefs last week. The Chargers offense has the potential to blow the doors off at anytime. Look for that to happen in this game. Phillip Rivers and the Chargers are a touchdown favorite, but we feel like they can cover that. Bet San Diego -7 on Sunday.

New York Jets @ Baltimore Ravens -3.5

Two of the top defensive teams in the National Football League will get together in Baltimore. Both teams are 2-1 with the Jets losing at Oakland last week, and Baltimore beating the Rams. The Jets have not been as dominant this season on the defensive side as they were last season. Baltimore is looking for a chance to win two in a row for the first time. After their impressive win over Pittsburgh, they struggled in a loss to Tennessee in week two. The Ravens are going to win this; it may be close, but in the end, they will cover.

Best of luck with all your National Football League betting not just for week four, but the entire season. Be sure to check back over the weekend for our pick on the Monday Night Football game.

NFL Week 3: Monday Night Football

September 25th, 2011 No comments

It’s time for the Monday Night Football game, for the third week of action in the National Football League. Week one, the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders came away with the win. In week two, the New York Giants picked up their first win of the season, downing the St. Louis Rams. This week features the Washington Cowboys heading into Dallas to take on the Cowboys. Washington comes into the game with an unbeaten record, while the Cowboys are 1-1.

In the week two win over the 49ers, Tony Romo was injured, but came away with an overtime win. Romo’s status was questionable for most of the week, but he will start the game. Romo through two games has thrown for 687 yards and 4 touchdowns. All four of the touchdown passes for Romo has come to his favorite target; Miles Austin. The Cowboys defense ranks second in the league allowing just 59.5 rushing yards per game, and their offense is picking up just 54.5 yards per game on the ground. Felix Jones and DeMarco Murray have picked up just 80 rushing yards through 2 games this year.

Washington has a chance to really open up the NFC East with a win. Philadelphia and the Giants are playing in week three as well, so one team will be a game behind, and another two if the Redskins find a way to beat Dallas. Washington is led by their quarterback Rex Grossman, the former leader of the Florida Gators. Grossman has thrown for nearly 600 yards, along with 4 touchdowns. The Redskins also are using the legs of Tim Hightower, who has rushed 45 times for 168 yards and a touchdown. Washington’s defense has held teams to just over 300 yards on the season, including just 84 yards per game on the ground.

This should be a pretty entertaining game between these two long time NFC East rivals. The question marks around the health of Tony Romo is a major question mark for the Cowboys. Even if Romo does not play, backup Jon Kitna has a ton of experience, and has succeeded in the past. Look for the Cowboys to show a nice offensive performance, and Washington will struggle on the offensive side. The line currently is a pick’em, and we are going with the Dallas Cowboys in a big way in this one.

Best of luck with all your NFL Week 3 games. This should be a good Monday Night Football game. Check back with us later in the week to find out what we think about NFL Week 4 games!

NFL Week 3 Individual Pick: Cardinals @ Seahawks

September 25th, 2011 No comments

The NFC West division is without a doubt the worst division in the NFL this season. Last season the NFC West was just as bad, if not worse, but there are some signs of change in this division with teams like the Arizona Cardinals, St. Louis Rams and the San Francisco 49ers starting to turn it around.

The 49ers are the one team that seems to be making more strides than any team in the division thus far as they dominated the Seattle Seahawks in Week 1 and gave the rival Dallas Cowboys a run for their money last week, making a push at the sports betting picks lines at all the major online books with their 3-point loss in OT.

Even though the San Francisco 49ers seem to be the favorites to win the NFC West division title this season with new head coach Jim Harbaugh setting the team straight, the Arizona Cardinals are very much alive in the hunt for the division title with new starting quarterback Kevin Kolb living up to his new lucrative contract with his new team.

The Cardinals do still have plenty of things to work on in order to make it back into playoff contention in the NFC Conference, but so far, so good for this young team in Arizona.

In Week 3, the Arizona Cardinals will have an opportunity to make up some ground in the NFC West as they will take on the winless Seattle Seahawks. This game will be on the road for the Cardinals, but they are by far the better team at this point in time.

As of right now, the Arizona Cardinals are favored to win this NFC West showdown with a -4 point spread and I believe that is pretty solid.

Take the Cardinals at -4.
