Brett Favre was looking like the Favre of old on Monday night, helping the Vikings with a solid 13 for 18 passing night, throwing for 138 yards in the process and leading his new team to a 17-10 victory over the Houston Texans. It’ll be tough to see how the rest of the season will treat Favre, as he admitted to cracking a rib during the game and has readily admitted that he’s not exactly 100% heading into the 2009 season.
If he can battle through his sore knees, bruised (and now cracked) ribs and the fact he’s just getting older and more fragile – well, it could be an interesting and successful season for the Vikes this year. With Adrien Petersen backing him up at the running back spot and a solid defense to bank on in the NFC, this year could prove to be somewhat surprising to a lot of skeptics….none bigger than Brett Favre himself.
For more information on how you can bet on Brett and every other NFL team this year, check out the our recommended sportsbooks that we of course love plastering on the site =)
